TrustedReviews has a review of the Dell Latitude D630 put up saying – “Dell’s Latitude D620 was already a great notebook, and the D630 simply builds on that by adding the latest processing technology. It still strikes a near perfect balance between usability, portability, performance and price, and as such deserves all the plaudits it receives.”

PCAdvisor has a review of the NEC Versa S970 put up saying – “Although the NEC Versa S970 is reasonably priced. It’s let down by the quality of its screen and the lack of case protection. Neither is it particularly easy to use due to the size of its trackpad and buttons. However, the NEC Versa S970 is easily portable, conveniently slim and well-suited to users wanting a reasonably powerful laptop that doesn’t break the bank.”

NotebookReview has a review of the Sony VAIO CR put up saying – “The Sony VAIO CR is nice looking notebook with a solid set of features that are sure to be appealing to college students. It features an impressive multimedia AV Mode that can be launched without the need for Windows. However, the CR is cheaper and not quite as powerful as some other notebooks in the $1,000+ range due to the integrated graphics. The CR clearly stacks up well against the MacBook both in terms of features and appearance. Still, given the price point, the lack of dedicated graphics, and what can only be called a “design flaw” regarding the battery, college students might consider purchasing the Sony VAIO N series notebook. While the 15.4” N series only offers up to a 1.86GHz Intel Core Duo T2350 processor and up to 2GB of RAM, the performance is on par with the entry-level CR model and the N series costs several hundred dollars less.”

PCAdvisor has a review of the Samsung Q70 put up saying – “Overall the Q70 is another sleek and attractive notebook from Samsung. The shiny black exterior provides the initial eye-catching element, and the metallic internal finish provides a very different but no less attractive effect. General performance is excellent, while the nVidia 8400M GS provides some limited gaming performance for those who require it.”

CNet has a review of the Twinhead Durabook D13RY put up saying – “Twinhead has constructed the Durabook D13RY to meet military specifications for durability . We actually like the Durabook a bit more than its doppelganger. The Durabook’s wide-aspect display is better suited to today’s work and play, and when it comes to performance the Durabook does a better job of keeping up with competing systems. That said, the Durabook D13RY is more expensive than similarly configured traditional laptops–our configuration cost $1,945–so we can really only recommend it for buyers who need a laptop to withstand heavy abuses in environments beyond the home, office, or coffee shop.”

CNet has a review of the Enpower ENP660 put up saying – “The ENP660 includes a low-tier Intel Core 2 Duo processor and paltry 1GB of RAM that couldn’t keep pace with competitors’ Centrino Duo laptops. That’s less of a drawback than it may seem, however, when you consider that you can upgrade both the ENP660’s processor speed and RAM and still pay less than you’d pay for the Sony VAIO FZ180 or the Lenovo 3000 N200. Our primary caveat centers on the ENP660’s keyboard, which is unnecessarily cramped and will require users to adjust their typing–a deal-breaker for some. But if your fingers are adaptable, the Enpower ENP660 is an attractive, affordable Centrino Duo laptop.”

NotebookReviews has a review of the Asus G2S-A1 put up saying – “I feel that this laptop will provide me with many years of service and enjoyment. All in all this is an awesome laptop with great performance and a solid build. There isn’t much I would change about the machine, other than moving a couple more USB ports to the side of the laptop. otherwise, I feel that I have definitely gotten my money’s worth with this purchase.”
